Three Nebraska daycare workers are accused of assaulting young girls. These daycare workers allegedly taped a baby’s mouth shut because the baby would not stop crying. Also, it is alleged that a daycare worker bit a child as punishment for biting another child.
The workers have been suspended without pay pending the outcome of the investigation. The daycare center may be subject to liability if it hired these workers knowing they had a history of assault or violence. There may be other civil causes of action against the day care center and the workers but more supporting facts are needed. Before enrolling your child in a daycare center, make sure the center is reputable in the community.
